The recent storms have impacted some road conditions and we have made small changes to both route options for Day 1 (Saturday, Oct. 2) of Bike MS: Valero Ride to the River.

Connect with us (for FREE!) on RideWithGPS.com and be able to access route maps on your phone, have turn-by-turn directions, and more. Click the link below to access the 2021 event.
Once you have joined an event using your Ride with GPS account, you can navigate the event courses using the mobile app. Your event and routes will already be synced to your account.
- Download the app for iPhone or Android, and log in using your Ride with GPS account.
- Once signed in, tap the More in the bottom right corner of the screen to see the app menu.
- Tap My Events to see all the routes for your RSVP'd events.
- Then tap the name of a route to view it in the app.

Cycling Challenges
Complete challenges and mileage goals as you train and take on the open road.
Your training rides bring you out into your community and past some scenic destinations and we want to see them too!
Snap a selfie at a designated landmark and share it with your fellow MS cyclists using our submission form. Complete all 4 challenges by your event day and get a Bike MS-branded tire tool and be entered into a grand prize drawing for one of two Garmin Edge 130s. Flats happen—now you’ll be prepared!

There will be three categories of winners for each week*:
- Team with 4-14 members
- Team with 15+ members
- Individual rider (team member or non-team member)
*based on the highest amount of online fundraising (total dollars) this week
Prizes:
- Team winner: Upgraded team experience of their choice (team tent upgrades, team porta potty at a rest stop of their choice, or a dedicated packet pick-up for their team)
- Individual winner: Bike MS Prize Pack (Bike MS swag and gift card from our partners at Fathead)

Safety Clinic

Your local Bike MS staff and amazing guest speakers will share information about staying safe at Bike MS. Topics will include cycling safety and COVID-19 protocols, ride support, bike inspections, suggested packing list, and more.

Bike MS is an extraordinary ride no matter where you are! Whether you have a flat tire or need a snack to help get you across the finish line, we’ve got you covered…
Each route includes fully-stocked rest stops every 10 to 12 miles with some of the best snacks and volunteers around. Relax, hydrate, use the restroom, re-apply sunscreen and enjoy the volunteers. Bike mechanics and support and gear (SAG) vehicles will also be on the route to assist you.
After the ride, we will have plenty of food at the finish line.

Transportation
Transportation schedule: Complimentary shuttle bus tickets are available. The deadline for reservations is September 17, 2021.
Complimentary shuttle service provided by the New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce. Reservations are required. Deadline to reserve shuttle service is September 17, 2021.
*Be sure to place the front number from your rider packet on your bike before loading onto the bike truck on Saturday morning. To retrieve your bike from the bike compounds you must have your rider bib or wristband, no exceptions.

Bike loading from 6 am to 6:30 am. Shuttle bus and bike transport truck depart at 6:30 am.
Saturday Morning: New Braunfels Comal County Fair Grounds to Start Line at Rolling Oaks Mall
Please arrive at Comal County Fair Grounds at 5:00 am to allow for ample bike loading time. Buses will depart at 6 am sharp for Rolling Oaks Mall. Click here for the Comal County Fair Grounds parking map and here for the overview map.
Saturday Afternoon: Comal County Fair Grounds to New Braunfels hotels (list in lodging section on website)
Participants and luggage transported from Comal County Fairgrounds to New Braunfels hotels. Shuttles will run continuously from noon to 7:00 pm. Please note: Bikes will need to stay in the bike compound at the fairgrounds.
Sunday Morning: New Braunfels hotels (list in lodging section on website) on shuttle route list to the Comal County Fair Grounds.
Participants and luggage transported from 5:30 am – 7:30 am. Note the ride starts promptly at 7:30 am on Sunday (weather permitting).
Sunday afternoon shuttle: from the Comal County Fair Grounds to Day 1 start at Rolling Oaks Mall.
There will be (2) shuttles from the Comal County Fair Grounds to the day 1 start. The first shuttle departs at noon and the second shuttle departs at 4 pm. If you are utilizing this shuttle option, be sure load your bike into the designated bike truck as soon as you arrive at the finish line.
Use this form to reserve your ticket and/or the ticket for other participants. Shuttle tickets are complementary, but pre-event reservations are strongly encouraged!
