Walk Details

We have so many fun things for you to do before the Walk begins!  

Can you hear the music? Then, you are in the right place! Listen to DJ Lewis with LGM Entertainment who will be spinning some fresh morning tunes to celebrate Walk MS: Folsom! 

Opening at 8:00 am, visit our various displays at the Walk MS start location in Historic Folsom and Sutter Street Plaza including:  

• Registration Area: This is where you will sign up for Walk MS: Folsom if you haven’t already registered online. Check out our QR codes that are new in 2022 – you will be able to register directly from your mobile device!   
• I Walk For… Bibs: Scattered around the venue will be tables of Bibs and colored markers. Let us know who you will be walking for by filling one out and wearing it.  
• T-Shirt Area: This is the pick-up location for participants who have raised $100 or more.  

• Food Area: The Food Area will be grab-and-go with bottled water and assorted snacks. There is no single-serve coffee.  
• National and Local Sponsors: There will be a variety of booths featuring: Sanofi, our Premier National Sponsor, along with National Sponsor, Biogen. Local Sponsors include: Dignity Health, Infusion for Health, and United Healthcare. Swing by and thank them for supporting Walk MS and the National MS Society and see if you can snag a few freebies along the way!  
•  Living With MS Area: Visit the Living With MS Area, sponsored by Sanofi, to pick up your Living With MS bandana and to learn about resources, upcoming programs, and services including New to MS.  
• VIP Area: All participants who raised $500+ in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 – visit our new VIP Area for a special treat and let us say thank you in person! Sparkling water will be provided by Waterloo Sparkling Water.  

• Say Cheese!: This year we have many places for you to take your picture to commemorate Walk MS 2022, but we want to make a special shout out and thank Sign Gypsies Sacramento for donating the perfect Walk MS photo op!  
• … and more!  

8:45 am Gather at the stage for the Opening Ceremony  

9:00 a.m. Time to say good morning to Folsom! Walk Begins with 1-mile & 3-mile routes with water stops and porta-johns along the way. Both routes start and end at Sutter Street Plaza and travel through Historic Folsom with the three-mile course continuing along the water.  

10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Groove to the music until noon, cheer on returning walkers as they cross the finish line, grab a snack and stay hydrated. And, if you didn’t have the chance to pick-up your t-shirt or visit our Sponsor booths before you Walked – now is your chance!

Walk MS has 1 and 3 mile accessible routes available.

Parking Info: Parking is available at the Leidesdorff parking structure on the corner of Reading and Leidesdorff. Street parking is also available, please pay attention to parking times and restrictions.  

It’s Go Time

Walk MS runs special It’s Go Time weeks – which you’ll find out via email and social media – where you’ll be given a challenge to complete to earn Walk MS points. Stay tuned to see what challenge is in store for you!
