Step #1: Submit an application to be considered for one of our team's limited spots. Fundraising minimums are outlined below and dependent on participation type.
- $500 – Runner who secured their own spot
- $750 – Runner who secured their own spot + training perks
- $750 – Half Marathon Runner
- Exclusive opportunity to participate in The Charity Half Marathon – which is a half marathon within the Los Angeles Marathon and available only to Charity Runners
- $1,000 – Marathon Runner
Step #2: Applications will be reviewed and accepted on a rolling basis stating September 2022 through March 1, 2023.
Step #3: If selected, you will receive an email notification from the event lead! At that time, a private registration link will be shared with you to create your personal fundraising page and confirm your spot with the team. Additional registration instructions will be outlined at that time.
Team members must raise 30% of their fundraising minimum prior to January 15th. Once they reach 30%, they will receive an official registration link for the LA Marathon & Half Marathon. The fundraising deadline for this event is March 19, 2023.
Please Note:
- If selected, there will be a $25 registration fee to hold your spot on the team. This is a tax-deductible donation to the National MS Society and will count towards your total fundraising requirement.

Once registered and an injury occurs or a runner choose to not participate in the LA Marathon & Half Marathon as a charity runner for the National MS Society, they will still be held responsible for 75% of my required fundraising minimum by March 19, 2023.

If a runner doesn’t reach the fundraising minimum requirement by the deadline, their credit card will automatically be charged the difference between the fundraising minimum and the amount they currently have raised.
