Cowboy Capital MS Trail Ride
The Cowboy Capital MS Trail Ride is an annual horseback riding event in northern Texas that was the first-of-its-kind fundraiser for the MS Society when it began in 1996. Every year, the local community comes together to ride through beautiful trails, enjoy delicious food, and participate in a silent auction. Since its inception, the MS Trail Ride has raised over $210,000 to support people in the South Central chapter whose lives are affected by MS. In 2021, they celebrated their 24th anniversary and raised over $15.6k!
George Mason University Ice Hockey
Over the past 12 years, George Mason University Ice Hockey has run an annual charity game raising almost $200,000, on behalf of various charities. This year they chose the National MS Society as the beneficiary of the event. Mason Ice Hockey has a connection to MS through their close friend and DC sportscaster, Dave Johnson, who has publicly shared about his ongoing battle with this disease. There were activities including a raffle, chuck-a-puck, and a silent auction. In the end the event raised $21,000!
Grow Hair. Cut Hair. Donate for Good.
Aaron spent much of the pandemic, over 750 days, growing out his hair while his job transitioned to remote work. Now that he and his fellow employees are heading back to the office, Aaron decided it was time to get a haircut but turn it into an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for MS. He raised over $36,000 on a $5,000 goal.
