Routes & Maps
With a variety of route options, you can choose the challenge that’s right for you.
Saturday May 14th choose from two different start locations:
- Ventura start - easy 30 miles FLAT out and back
- Santa Monica Start - choose 60 miles along PCH or 100 miles that includes a climb up Malibu canyon road
Sunday May 15th in Ventura
- Choose an easy flat 30 miles along the coast
- Choose a more challenging 50 miles that includes a climb around Lake Casitas in Ojai
Saturday night will be overnight in Ventura.

Safety Meeting
May 4th 6pm-7pm Pacific
Don't miss this important safety meeting! Join us for an overview of the routes and how to stay safe as you ride in a group along the way.
We'll cover:
- What to expect from our safety marshals riding with you and what you need to do to prepare yourself, like clothing, nutrition, etc..
- ABC Bike check! Having a bike in good working order is vital to your good time! We'll show you how YOU can check your bike in advance and make adjustments where you can.
- Group riding means communicating with your fellow riders. We'll give you the dos and don'ts and common phrases used in group rides and what they mean and how and when to use them.

Meals & Support
Bike MS is an extraordinary ride no matter where you are! Whether you have a flat tire or need a snack to help get you across the finish line, we’ve got you covered…
Each route includes fully-stocked rest stops every 10 to 12 miles with some of the best snacks and volunteers around. Relax, hydrate, use the restroom, re-apply sunscreen and enjoy the volunteers. Bike mechanics and support and gear (SAG) vehicles will also be on the route to assist you.
Food Info
For 62 and 105 mile riders lunch will be served on the route between 9:30am - 1:30pm. For those riding 105 miles, you must reach the lunch stop by 12:30pm if you do not, you will be rerouted and will achieve about 80 miles by the finish line.
For friends and family, dinner tickets can be purchased for $10 Meals are complimentary for the riders.

CAMPING INFORMATION FOR BIKE MS:
May 14-15, 2022
- Camping will be provided at no cost to participants for the night of Saturday, May 14th at San Buenaventura State Beach Park.
- Permitted camping gear includes the following:
- Tent (two-person max.)
- Sleeping bag
- Sleeping pad
- Pillow
- No chairs, stereos, stoves, or other camping supplies are permitted
- Motor Homes / Campers need to find alternative location
- Limited spaces are available. Please email jj.hoffman@nmss.org to reserve your campsite.
- Tents (two-person max.) can be set up as early as 8:00am on Saturday, May 14th. You will check in at the campsite area with a NMSS staff person.
- All campers will pay $10 for overnight parking upon entering the park.
- No vehicles will be allowed to re-enter the premises after Sunset (6:00pm) on Saturday, May 14th. The park closes at this time. If you plan on taking your vehicle out of the park and returning after park closure, please take note that you will need to find street parking, which can be difficult.
- You can go into town after 6:00pm by walking the bike path or calling a local cab or ride share service. They can pick up / drop off at the park entrance.
- Tents must be broken down by 8:30 if you are riding or 10:00am if you are not on Sunday, May 15th or before you leave for your ride. Tents should be loaded onto the luggage transportation trucks to be transferred Santa Monica
- Dinner and drinks will be provided by NMSS at the campsite for participants.
- Absolutely NO Campfires allowed.
- Please keep your Alcohol ID bracelet attached if you plan on consuming alcohol at the campsite.
- No glass bottles will be allowed on the beach.
- No amplified sound is allowed.
- Quiet hours are from 10pm to 6am
- 60 and 100 mile cyclists: Bring your camping gear to the start line in Santa Monica and put it onto the luggage trucks to be transported to Ventura. Please try to consolidate your belongings into no more than 2 bags.
Transportation
Purchase bus and parking tickets for Sunday May 15th return FROM San Buenaventura State Beach Park in Ventura (Finish Line) TO 2950 Ocean Park Blvd. in Santa Monica (Start Line for 62 and 105 mile riders).
The deadline to reserve your spot on a shuttle is April 29th 2022.
Shuttle Times: May 15th 10:30am; 1:00pm or 2:30pm
NOTE: Those who park at San Buenaventura State Beach Park will pay the park fee of $10 directly to the park rangers not on this form.
Prices:
- Shuttle plus parking in 2950 Ocean Park Blvd parking structure: $55
- Parking only at 2950 Ocean Park Blvd: $25
- Shuttle only, no parking: $30
