How it Works
Here’s how it’s going to work
We’re not looking to make things complicated, so we’re keeping it pretty simple. Decide what distance you are interested in running or walking, gather your flock, and trot towards a world free of MS. We will provide recourses for fundraising and information on how to track your activity.
Whether you choose to run or walk, you ensure our incredible progress and momentum toward a cure continues with force, while we meet the urgent needs of our community during this unprecedented time. Through the Thanksgiving Day MS Run you are joining a community across the country committed to changing the world for everyone affected by multiple sclerosis, no matter what. Even in times of uncertainty, no one should have to face MS alone.
Step 1 – Registration
Participating in the Thanksgiving Day MS Run is easy! First, register as a Virtual Participant on this site so we know you're participating and select your distance. The registration fee for this event is $30. Just for signing up, you’ll receive a Thanksgiving Day MS Run long-sleeve and medal. Additional incentives available based on fundraising level.
Step 2 – Get the App
Download the app so that you can count your activity. Decide your distance and whether you are going to run or walk.
Make sure you get the app sooner than later so you can practice before the big day (on Thanksgiving or any day in November)!
Step 3 – It’s time to Trot!
Go forth and track your run in the app. When you complete your challenge, click Finish in the app to receive a special Finish Line message and a leaderboard of everyone who has completed their runs.
While you’re trotting, or after you finish, grab some images to use on social to spread the word! (More on those in our toolkit section.)
Just for signing up, you’ll receive a Thanksgiving Day MS Run long-sleeve and medal. Register by November 11 to have your shirt mailed to you in time for Thanksgiving weekend.
Raise $100 and receive a MS Society branded beanie, sure to keep you warm all fall and winter long – and definitely on Thanksgiving!
