Fundraising Weeks

- Challenge: Person with the most money raised and person with the most number of gifts
- Prize: Win a free night of housing for Thursday night before the event. (1 room for most money raised and 1 room for most number of gifts)
August 7- August 13, 2023
- Individual challenge: The individual with the most number of gifts will win a special gift card or treat for food along the route.
- Team Challenge: Top teams with the most money raised (up to 5 winners) will win reserved seating for Friday and Saturday night programs.

Friday
12:30 p.m. Busing from Parker River Beach to Camp Hayward begins
3:30–7 p.m. Massages at the massage tent
3:30–8 p.m. Beer and wine area open
4 p.m. Route closes — all walkers must be off route
4:30 p.m. Last bus leaves Parker River Beach to Camp Hayward
5–7 p.m. Dinner in the cafeteria
7–7:30 p.m. Slide show of the day
7:30–8:30 p.m. Evening program
8:30 p.m. Crew meeting in the dining hall
8:45 p.m. Shuttle to hotels leaves

Route Map
We will share the map and final turn-by-turn directions closer to event weekend once all routes have been finalized and approved. We aim to make the route as accessible as possible with paved sidewalks and pavement.

Route Support
Challenge Walk MS is a fully supported event with your safety as our number one priority! Support and Gear (SAG) vehicles patrol the route to show support and ensure your safety. SAGs give rides – be it the finish line or a rest stop – as needed and requested.

Rest Stops
Rest stops are located every 1.5-3 miles along the route to help you recharge and refuel. Relax, hydrate, grab a bite to eat, and connect with volunteers and fellow walkers. There will also be medical support at most rest stops.

Lodging and Transportation
Lodging
Camp Hayward – overnight base camp for Challenge Walk MS: Cape Cod. Summer camp, bunk style cabins are available for all participants who wish to stay on sight. This lodging is included in your registration fee.

*Please note – we will not pay for hotel stays for any participants that wish to stay offsite*
We will only guarantee shuttle service from the below hotels surrounding Camp Hayward.
Note: Shuttle Service begins Friday afternoon and ends Sunday Morning. Participants are on their own to get their cars to Kalmus Beach to park for the weekend or to Hyannis Village Green for the start. No overnight parking is allowed at Hyannis Village Green, your car will be towed. IF you need help securing travel to the start please reach out to NMSS staff.

Afternoon / Evening Schedule
Shuttles leave at 2pm, 5:00pm and 8:45pm
A 6:30pm shuttle will be picking up participants from hotels for the nightly program
Transportation and Parking
- Start of the walk at Hyannis Village Green
- Park all vehicles at Kalmus Beach for the weekend (we will have a bus from Kalmus Beach to the starting line)
No vehicles will be allowed to park at Camp Hayward except for society vehicles
- Busses will be needed to bring people to Camp Hayward at the end of Day 1 and Day 2.
- Busses will be needed to bring people to the start lines on Day 2 and Day 3.
