TeaMS for Hope
In late 2021, Austin, TX, high school student Mya Duffy created TeaMS for Hope, a DIY fundraising event in honor of those affected by multiple sclerosis. Mya and TeaMS hosted their first annual Field Day Fundraiser for Westlake High School students at a local elementary school. Participants formed teams of 6 friends and came up with a fun team name, theme, and costume or jersey. They competed against other teams in fun mini-competitions like tug of war, field goal contests, basketball 3-point, and team relays.
Cook Family's Christmas
Each year, the Cook Family in New Jersey decorates their house for Christmas and choreographs a light show set to their favorite Christmas songs. In the last 11 years, the show has grown to include more than 8,000 pixels of lights, 20 minutes of music, and has become a holiday tradition for many in their community. Their favorite part of the show is seeing their guests enjoy all their hard work and embrace the Christmas season. The Cook Family is set to surpass $50,000 in lifetime fundraising during the 2022 holiday season!
The Beat Rolls On for MS: GSA Invitational
On October 15, “The Beat Rolls On for MS” hosted the “GSA Invitational” at Poplar Creek golf course in San Mateo, CA. The event was held in honor of organizer Chris’s father, Gary Spicuzza Anthony, who lived with MS for over 43 years. Chris has raised funds for the Society before, and with the support of his dear friends Lauri Clark, Michael and Kris Herbert, and Mladen Vukic, this event helped him surpassed over $150,000 in lifetime fundraising to help end MS forever.
