Honorees
Excellence in MS Care Award Presented to:
UW Medicine MS Center
The UW Medicine MS Center has provided comprehensive MS services since 1977, and centralized MS care since 2012. Their staff includes neurologists, a rehabilitation physician, rehabilitation psychologists, nurse practitioners, a social worker, infusion nurses, a vocational counselor, a neuro-ophthalmologist, and pharmacists. They see value in taking a team approach to help patients handle the impact MS has on their lives. The UW Medicine MS Center healthcare providers have demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness, and perseverance in adapting to MS. We are so excited to honor them at this year’s luncheon!
Hope Award Honoree
Nanette Hayre
Nanette Hayre is a foster home placement coordinator and home study writer with the YMCA. Her experience ranges from a child/family therapist, investigator for Child Protective Service, and family reunification social worker. She is involved with several organizations in the community including the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Kids’n’Cancer Camp Agape, Ronald McDonald House, National Charity League, Seattle Art Museum, and Children’s Hospital Jr. Guild.
Nanette has been thriving with MS for 18 years and is passionate about her family, friends, social service, and finding a cure for MS. She is celebrating 23 years of marriage and has three amazing children and two French Bulldogs.
