In Memory of Larry Schenck

Larry Schenck, Jr., age 80, of Dublin, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Don Adams will conduct the service. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.

Mr. Schenck was born in Fulton County on April 3, 1941, to the late Laurence A. Schenck, Sr., and the late Myrle Katherine Harrelson Schenck. He was a graduate of Mercer Law School, and he retired from the FBI after 30 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday School for many years.

Larry had many hobbies but his favorite was coaching youth sports. He was devoted to his family and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Schenck was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Rigdon.

He is survived by his loving spouse, Lee Schenck of Dublin; son, Larry Schenck, III, his wife, Cecilia, and their children, Caroline and Ansley Schenck, all of Dublin, GA; daughter, Leanne Zimmerman, her husband, Leland, and their children, Claire and Harry Zimmerman, all of Lafayette, CA; son, Landon Schenck, his wife, Tiffany, and their children, Evan, Ryan, and Brady Schenck, all of Alpharetta, GA; son, Loren Schenck, his wife Catherine, and their children, Parker and Chandler Schenck, all of Canton, GA; and niece, Stephanie Smoot of Monroe, GA.
