Bike MS: Nation's Capital 2022 Weekend Participant Schedule
Saturday, September 10th
4pm – 7pm: Packet Pickup inside the lobby of 2000 Opportunity Way, Reston VA
Sunday, September 11th
6am: Site opens
- Packet Pickup /Registration
- Light breakfast
- Bike mechanics available
- Bike racks available
6:45am-7am: Opening Program at the Start Line
7-7:15am: Start time for all 100 and 65-mile cyclists (100-mile cyclists first)
7:15-7:30am: Start time for all 55 and 30-mile cyclists (55-mile cyclists first)
7:30am: All riders must be on the route – no exceptions!
8:30am-Noon: Lunch on the route at Magnolia’s at the Mill in Purcellville, VA
10am-5:30pm: Finish Line Celebration
- Sandwiches, snacks, and drinks provided by Giant Food – gluten free and vegan options available
- Beer Garden provided by Aslin Beer Company – gluten free options available
- Massages available for purchase
- Bike racks available
5pm: All routes close
6pm: Site closes
Route distance options of 30, 55, 65, and 100 miles.
The 30 and 55 mile route options will be mostly on the Washington and Old Dominion Trail and will include minimal elevation and limited interactions with cars. The 65 and 100 mile options will be mostly on the rolling hill roads of Northern Virginia. Please train and prepare for the elevation if you are planning to ride the 65 or 100 mile routes.
With trail and road riding options, fully stocked rest stops every 10 miles to keep you energized, various route distances, and a festive finish line celebration, participants of all ability and experience levels can choose the route best for them, have a great event experience, and support the cause.

All participants aside from the 30-mile participants will enjoy lunch on the course at Magnolia’s at the Mill restaurant in Purcellville, VA.
Along with lunch on the route, we will provide sandwiches at a later rest stop for the 100-mile participants since the lunch stop will be around mile 30 for them.
The routes will be well marked, printed cue sheets will be available to take at the start line, and you can download them at the below link.
Fundraising Weeks
Fundraising Week #1: July 4, 2022 - July 10, 2022
Fundraising Weeks run Monday through Sunday at midnight. Each fundraising week will have winners in the following categories*:
- Teams with less than 10 members
- Teams with 10+ members
- Individual rider (team member or non-team member)
*Based on the highest amount of online fundraising (total dollars raised) this week as a reward for your amazing fundraising, we will award the following prizes for Fundraising Weeks:
Team winners: fully stocked team tent
Individual winner: VIP Parking and a VIP Bike MS wearable item
Fundraising Week #2: August 1, 2022 - August 7, 2022

Bike MS is an extraordinary ride no matter where you are! Whether you have a flat tire or need a snack to help get you across the finish line, we’ve got you covered…
Each route includes fully-stocked rest stops every 10 to 12 miles with some of the best snacks and volunteers around. Relax, hydrate, use the restroom, re-apply sunscreen and enjoy the volunteers. Bike mechanics and support and gear (SAG) vehicles will also be on the route to assist you.
A light breakfast including fruit, granola bars etc. will be available prior to the ride. All routes aside from the 30 mile route will enjoy lunch on the course at Magnolia’s at the Mill restaurant in Purcellville, VA. All participants will receive sandwiches courtesy of Giant Food at finish line along with two alcoholic beverages (21+) courtesy of Aslin Brewing Company to celebrate their accomplishments.
100-mile cyclists will receive additional Giant Sandwiches at a later rest stop along with typical rest stop snacks as well.

All rooms secured via the room block must be secured by August 26th or they will be released to the public.
Ride Day Parking
All event attendees must enter and exit the site via the intersection of Sunset Hills Road and Visionary Way. The entrance via Town Center Parkway will be closed.
All event attendees must park in the 2000 Opportunity Way Parking Garage and will be instructed to remove their bikes prior to entering the garage. Bike racks will be located near the parking garage so participants can quickly rack their bike before entering the garage. MS Society staff and volunteers will be helping to expedite this process.
Saturday Packet Pickup
All Saturday Packet Pickup attendees should park on the street in front of 2000 Opportunity Way.
