Join us for this very special pre-ride training session where we will not only get a good ride in, but ride on PCH to give you a look at the conditions you will be riding under on the event day!
All participants are welcome to ride with us naturally. We will have a long and short ride option too.
We'll start this ride earlier than most of our training rides. After the ride, get your bike tuned up by Trek, shop for gear you need and as always, enjoy a feast for after the ride!

Fundraising Week #2 April 22nd – April 28th
Fundraising Weeks run Monday through Sunday at midnight.
How to win:
Individuals:

The teams that raise the most during this week will win a team tent to enjoy after the ride at Team Village OR a Tent Upgrade for those that have already earned their team tent.

General Details
In your packet you will find your bib, Helmet tag, Bike tag and luggage tags as well as a wristband. Please keep your wristband on both days as it is your ticket to your meals both on the ride and at the start and finish lines.
Who can pick up a packet?
Anyone can pick up your packet for you as long as you have signed the waiver and met the $350 fundraising minimum

Ditch the car and join the cycling craze with Metrolink! Whether you're headed to Ventura Downtown or Ventura East, we'll get you there smoothly so you can enjoy every moment of the Bike MS: Los Angeles Coastal Challenge 2024.
From the Ventura Downtown/Beach Station bikers can disembark and travel South from Surfers Point at Seaside Park, along The Omer Rains Coastal Bike Trail for a gorgeous seaside ride featuring blooming flowers in the spring.
The path, named after local politician and environmentalist Omer Rains, is flat and mostly paved, making for a leisurely 7-minute ride to the San Buenaventura State Beach Park.
How to get your tickets:
- Download the Mobile App.
- Register a mobile account with the same email address used for the MS Bike event signup.
- Your mobile ticket will be sent to your ticket wallet by Friday, May 24.
A few things to note:
- To receive your complimentary Metrolink ticket, participants must be registered on the Metrolink App by Thursday, May 23.
- Metrolink tickets cannot be purchased in advance.
- Metrolink tickets are valid on Amtrak codeshare trains, but riders are not allowed to bring their bike onto an Amtrak train.
- Participants who would like to take advantage of their free ride and would like to bring their bike on the train, can board at the Ventura-East Metrolink station.
- Participants who would like to take their bike on an Amtrak train must purchase an Amtrak ticket and reserve an Amtrak bike reservation.

BUS transportation to Santa Monica
If you prefer to take the Bus back to Santa Monica, we have three bus options for which tickets can be purchased here.
If you need parking, that ticket is an additional $25
If you purchase a parking ticket and a bus ticket it’s $50
Spaces are limited so please purchase your bus ticket now The last day to purchase your bus ticket is Thursday May 30th.
Saturday June 1 we have one bus that leaves at 5:30pm
On Sunday June 2 we have two buses, one leaving at 1:00pm and another leaving at 3:00pm
Please gather 30 minutes before the bus leaves.

San Buenaventura State Beach Park Camping
There is also FREE camping at the San Buenaventura State Beach Park available on a first come first serve basis.
These camp sites are available for Saturday night only. For you, a small tent, chair, sleeping bags, pillows and blankets. There are no fires allowed and no loud music. RSVP to reserve your campsite.
Camping will be provided at no cost to participants for the night of Saturday, June 1st at San Buenaventura State Beach Park.
- Permitted camping gear includes the following:
- Tent (two-person max.)
- Sleeping bag
- Sleeping pad
- Pillow
- No chairs, stereos, stoves, or other camping supplies are permitted
- Motor Homes / Campers need to find alternative location
- Limited spaces are available; please make sure you selected camping as an option at registration. If not, contact a Bike MS staff member to update your account.
- Tents (two-person max.) can be set up as early as 8:00am on Saturday, May 14th. You will check in at the campsite area with a NMSS staff person.
- All campers will pay $10 for overnight parking upon entering the park.
- No vehicles will be allowed to re-enter the premises after Sunset (6:00pm) on Saturday, June 1st. The park closes at this time. If you plan on taking your vehicle out of the park and returning after park closure, please take note that you will need to find street parking, which can be difficult.
- You can go into town after 6:00pm by walking the bike path or calling a local cab or ride share service. They can pick up / drop off at the park entrance.
- Tents must be broken down by 8:30 if you are riding or 10:00am if you are not on Sunday, June 2nd or before you leave for your ride. Tents should be loaded onto the luggage transportation trucks to be transferred Santa Monica
- Dinner and drinks will be provided by NMSS at the campsite for participants.
- Absolutely NO Campfires allowed.
- Please keep your Alcohol ID bracelet attached if you plan on consuming alcohol at the campsite.
- No glass bottles will be allowed on the beach.
- No amplified sound is allowed.
- Quiet hours are from 10pm to 6am
- 60 and 100 mile cyclists: Bring your camping gear to the start line in Santa Monica and put it onto the luggage trucks to be transported to Ventura. Please try to consolidate your belongings into no more than 2 bags.
Parking at Santa Monica Business Park is $25 and must be pre-purchased. Parking at San Buenaventura State Beach is $10 or free for Top 60 VIP (raised $2500 and more). Vendors & Sponsors: Overnight Security will be provided at the event site and parking lot. Please DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES in your car.

- LOAD YOUR BIKE- If you already have your packet, please attach your bike tags. Bikes will be loaded separately, and luggage will go with you on the shuttle. If you don’t have your packet yet, we will identify your bike in another way.
- SHUTTLE- take your bag/luggage with you on the shuttle to Sports Basement.
- ARRIVE- Collect your bike, drop your luggage at the luggage truck, and enter the event start line area.
Food
Whether you have a flat tire or need a snack to help get you across the finish line, we’ve got you covered…
Each route includes fully stocked rest stops every 10 to 12 miles with some of the best snacks and volunteers around. Relax, hydrate, use the restroom, re-apply sunscreen and enjoy time with the volunteers along with support and gear (SAG) vehicles along the route to assist you.
After you cross the finish line, we will have plenty of local food information handy.
We will have plenty of great food to replenish and refresh you before during and after the ride!
If you have any food allergies or restrictions be sure to make note of it on your registration. You can go back and edit your answers to questions. We'll do our best to accommodate all special requests, but as a precaution, pack any special food that you might
need just in case.
NOTE: You need your wristband to eat. We will be checking your wristband and marking off when you ate Breakfast lunch and dinner so that we insure everyone gets fed.
Saturday
On Saturday morning a light breakfast will be available at both start locations.
For lunch, Jersey Mikes will be served at the Point Mugu rest stop for the 100 and 60mile riders, and at the finish line for the 30 mile riders.
For dinner, on Saturday and Breakfast and lunch we will enjoy a fantastic feast by Peiranos, a delightful and very popular restaurant in Ventura. Check back for specific menu options and take a look at their website and start drooling now
Left Hand Brewing will provide a delicious and refreshing beverage for all!
The VIP tent will also enjoy gourmet delights, filet mignon and mushroom crostinis courtesy of Aloha Steakhouse.
VIPs will also enjoy cocktails by Ventura Spirits.
To be a VIP, you must be a Top 60 club member from 2023 or if you are new this year or even a returning rider and reach $2500 or more in fundraising, then you too are welcome in the VIP tent!
Support
E-bikes are welcome on this ride, but be sure to look up whether your class of e bike is legal in the cities we will be riding in.
Please bring extra batteries if you think you will run out of charge during the ride.
Please invite your friends and family to come and cheer you on! There are safe areas on the bike paths and at the rest stops.

The support from local bike shops is crucial; bike mechanics will be located throughout the ride along with yearly support from shops in the area. For more Bike Shop information check out your Training and Prep page!
